32 arrested at Pro-Palestine Protest outside Manchester Central Library

On 29 November 2025, more than 200 people joined a pro-Palestine demonstration in Manchester, marching from Piccadilly Gardens to St Peter’s Square. According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) monitored the protest throughout the afternoon. A police spokesperson told the paper: “Our policing operation will continue as we look to minimise any disruption caused to the wider community." Credit: Palestine Solidarity Campaign The demonstration was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which said it aimed “to demand an end to Israel’s genocide, military occupation and apartheid against Palestinians.” It formed part of a series of ten coordinated protests taking place across the UK. Protesters sat in the road holding signs reading “I support Palestine Action” and “I oppose genocide.” Others chanted “shame on you,” clapping as police escorted or carried protesters away. GMP confirmed that 32 people were removed from the protest under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act. All 32 individuals have since been bailed pending further investigation.
